What matters more than anything in the world is that you have made a start in the right direction and with persistence and determination you can achieve anything you want in your life and future no matter what life throws at you!
My best friend recently completed the London Vitality 10,000 London race on Sunday 24th September, 2023 with a impressive time of 59:15 (SUB 1). He also completed the London Winter 10,000 Race on Sunday 5th February, 2023 with a time of 56:28 (SUB1) and The London Landmarks half marathon on Sunday 2nd April, 2023 with a time of 2:18:43.
He is looking to become top runner in the local and international long distance field and with these impressive times I believe he can achieve this in 2024.
I asked my friend why he had taken up the sport of long distance running, well what he told me shocked me but also made me laugh too. He told me well I hate losing a bet, one of my co-worker bet me that I couldn’t run a 10km race.
Well, I ran the first race the London Winter 10,000 race in 2023 and achieved a time of 56:28 (SUB 1). I showed my co-worker the medal and my time and the look on their face was priceless.
Since then I got the running bug and I can’t stop running its in my blood now.
