Change in You for the Better is Good for Business is a topic which I have extensive experience around in 2022. Why is change good and does that change have to do with good business?
Well, Let say you’re working in a 9 to 5 job and realised that your earnings per year are less than your outgoings. A better solution to your needs would be to ask for a pay rise. However, you have to take in to consideration that you are working for the same boss who is giving you the same pay.
The alternative is to change your boss and fire your boss in the process by doing this what you are saying is that if I am only worth this set amount per year in your business then I will have to look to a new firm who will pay me what I am worth in 2022.
Currently writing this blog post there is 1 million plus jobs in the U.K and it is a golden time to move around so please do consider changing your employer if you have the time and energy to do so.
When I was in my working life not too long ago I would regularly move around every 2 to 3 years this not only allowed me to update my skills but allowed me to keep a head of the game when it came to increased salary and earnings.
I can remember one particular situation where I worked for a rotten boss who would pay me what he could get away with. I knew i was worth more in the job market so guess what I did? Yes, I applied with a new firm in London and the difference was around 10K more in pay.
Now £10,000 is a lot of money for changing employers from one employer to the next however like I have mentioned before shoot for what your worth. If you believe you are worth more than go out there in the world and shoot for it!
You have nothing to lose and, in the end, you may walk away with an employer who is willing to pay you more to do the same job because they understand what is your worth at the end of the day.
